Another highly anticipated sequel of the summer, except this one didn't disappoint me! One of the first things I noticed that was good about this 'sequel' was that you did not need to see the first movie to understand it (my boyfriend has never seen the first one and he still enjoyed this one a lot). The Silver Surfer absolutely lives up to the hype the commercials give him, the character is very cool and I was surprised to learn that while Doug Jones plays the Silver Surfer, Laurence Fishburne does the voice for the character. The movie opens with a focus on the wedding between Susan Storm (Jessica Alba) and Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd). This plot section is interesting because they make it all very true to life - the wedding receives huge media coverage, helicopters try to fly over the service to get pictures, etc. Johnny Storm (The Torch - Chris Evans) is the first to encounter the Silver Surfer and the team learns that Johnny has been affected by the Surfer and now when he touches other members of the team, they switch powers. This change in Johnny works very badly for them in the beginning but at the end of the movie, becomes the key to saving the world. Victor Von Doom (Julian McMahon) returns and tries to work with the Silver Surfer and the results are very unexpected. When the team finally learns how to and then comes into direct contact with the Surfer, the results are also extremely unexpected and change the direction of the movie. The special effects are, of course, amazing and the movie hits on action, comedy, and drama. I was very pleased with this movie and I think that everyone who sees it will be surprised by the plot twists and impressed by the visuals. Definitely one of the must-sees of the summer movies!

I can't wait to see this movie!! No one wants to go see it with me though and they think I'm a big nerd for being so into stuff like this. I don't care though, I'll go see it by myself if I have to!!
