Shrek 3 is the third installment of the famous green ogre and his lovely sidekicks. In this one his father-in-law dies and informs Shrek that he will be king of far far away, Shrek does not want this though. Thus Shrek Donkey and Puss in boots go on a voyage to Worceshire high school, after the sauce of course, to get Arthur who is next in line to be king. Arthur is played by Justin Timberlake and I was quite let down by this character. I was let down I think because I had seen him in Alpha Dogs and was impressed by his acting abilities, but his quite girly voice in a 15 year old boy should fit, but for some reason it doesn't. He has a lot of dumb monologues that are supposed to give good morals and all that but it takes the viewers attention away from it all. The movie does end on a good note just like all fairy tales do, but it's an ending that you sort of sigh at and go well that was obvious. Shrek does end up being a father and it turns out him and Fiona do well with being parents even though he had nightmares about it all. Overall the movie was hilarious since I barely had time to breath between jokes, but it was ruined by some of those corny monologues. I recommend this movie but just rent it it's not worth the money to see in the theaters. Oh and some of it might not be appropriate for kids that understand more adult humor.
